Are EcoGreen products fully compostable?

Yes — all of our
compostable bin liners, freezer bags, ziplock bags, drawstring bags, dog waste bags, and aprons are certified to break down in appropriate composting
conditions.

Home compostable bags (those under 63 microns thick) can decompose within 180 days in a home compost
system.

Industrially compostable bags (such as drawstring and ziplock bags with thicker components) decompose
within 90 days under industrial composting conditions.

Can I buy in bulk for schools, councils, or hospitals?

Yes, EcoGreen offers bulk ordering options for public sector clients, including schools, local councils, and NHS institutions.

What materials are your products made from?

Our certified compostable bags are made from renewable plant-based and biodegradable
materials:

PBAT (Polybutylene Adipate Terephthalate): ~61–79%
Corn Starch: ~15–30%
PLA (Polylactic Acid) + Additives: ~1–7%

Note: Cling Wrap
contains 97% PBAT and 3% PLA, with no corn starch.

Do your bin liners work for food waste?

Yes, our compostable bin liners are certified for food waste collection and are suitable for council kerbside programs.

Do you ship across the UK?

Yes, we deliver to all areas across the UK, with eco-conscious packaging and carbon offset where possible.

What is the shelf life of your products?

Food Wrap (Cling Film): 9–10 months
Other Compostable Products (e.g., bin liners, aprons, freezer bags, dog waste bags): 11–12 months
Laundry Sheets: 3 years

What are Dishwasher Sheets?

They’re a low-waste, plastic-free alternative to traditional dishwasher tablets — pre-measured sheets of detergent that dissolve during the wash cycle without leaving behind residue or wrappers.

What is your aluminium foil made from?

Our aluminium foil is made from recycled aluminium, helping reduce energy use and waste compared to traditional foil. It is safe for use in ovens and for steaming, as aluminium is heat-resistant up to 400–600°C — far above typical cooking temperatures.

For steaming or wrapping food, we advise avoiding prolonged contact with highly acidic or alkaline foods under high heat, as this may cause a reaction with the foil.

Our foil is also non-stick, plastic-free, and packaged in fully recyclable cardboard.

Are your parchment and air fryer liners compostable?

Yes — they’re made from FSC-certified wood pulp and silicone oil and are suitable for composting under the right conditions.

Where are Eco Green Living products made?

Our products are manufactured in reputable facilities in China that adhere to strict quality standards. These manufacturers hold internationally recognized certifications such as OK Compost, TUV Austria, FSC Chain of Custody, and others. We work closely with them to ensure every product is safe, reliable, and aligned with our sustainability commitments.
